BigBeatNut Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011
Ok, so I had a good go on a nice unlined fretless last night..... Turns out you all had a point
Glad to hear that. A lined fretless sometimes works out expensive in fingerboard maintenance too (I've had two where the lines expanded differently to the main board, resulting in bumps that needed fixing), so I'm sure you're doing the right thing. Clarky Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Perhaps get some 'budget SIMS-alike' LEDs from Fretfx until you are comfortable with your fretless intonation on stage and then take them off and throw away? https://fretfx.com/ Quote
Bobby K Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Wow, how cool are they! Now we can all have a Status-esque experience! Quote
LawrenceH Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 You people must have much better monitoring than me at your gigs! B***ered if I can hear what note I'm on half the time - at darker gigs in the past I've had to try and work my way up the bumps from the open strings! Quote
