thepurpleblob
On the scrounge yet again... I get the basic idea (drop D, octaves) but I'm really struggling to figure out the fiddly bits as it where. If anybody has it written down it would save me some effort (by which I mean playing it wrong!!) Cheers
deanbean502
http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/m/muse/plug_in_baby_ver6_btab.htm Sounds good enough to me
thepurpleblob
Unless I'm very much mistaken it's drop-D surely? After a couple more listens, it all just two-octave-octaves (if you see what I mean). Well, so far

Live videos show it all played around the 10th fret, I think an octave / synth effect may be what makes it sound like dropped D.
The_D
That tab is what I played when we used to do it in my cover band. Works out fine. Not listened to it for a while but cant remember hearing any dropped tunings. Go with the tab and you will be fine.
Higgie
[attachment=90483:Plug In Baby Score.pdf] Here ya go dude. Got a load of Muse scores that I found on the web somewhere, so if you need any more, just ask! It's notated for EADG, but just play it down the octave or with an octave pedal and you're good to go! Sounds right to me!
thepurpleblob
Thanks guys.... I think I just had "Muse fear". It's cool Higgie... what is an '.ipb' file? I can't open that.
Higgie
I don't know why it's uploaded with that file extension. If you open it with a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader it should open fine! Let me know if it doesn't and I'll try and convert it to a different format.
bobbass4k
He plays it with in octave pedal in E standard. That UG tab is mostly right but the end of chorus 1 and chorus 2 is wrong. The note are right but he alternates octaves. So the end of chorus 1 is: G:--------: D:-12----: (obviously repeated) A:---------: E:-----10-: Chorus 2 is the same but that tab gives the lowest note so it's: G:-11-----: D:---------: etc. A:------9-: E:---------: I probably didn't explain that very well.
