BassBod Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 One other possible suggestion - the older SWR heads can make great power amps if you plug into the "power amp in" or effects return. My Alembic pre works well with a Studio 220 (louder than you'd think) for smaller gigs or a Stereo 800 for the noisy stuff. They get hot, can have noisy fans etc but could be worth looking out for?
