Which Colour Combo? (Jazz Bass Content)

Hi guys,

After many months of searching, I think I have found an instrument that I am in love with -

The Sadowsky Metroline basses.

The problem that has reared its ugly head is this - what colour to get?!

I am torn between these 3 combinations:

Rosewood and Olympic White (with tort' pickguard)


Maple and Olympic White (with tort' pickguard)


Maple and Ash (with black or tort' pickguard)


So what are your opinions?

Olympic White/Rosewood....100%. That maple is very pale.

Maple and OW for me. Agree with Musicman20 about the neck being very pale though. It was the only thing I wasn't perfectly happy with about my Metro. God I miss that bass.

I'm a maple neck kinda guy , but I'm liking the rosewood/white - nice contrast.

Mine is CAR & RW and truly wonderful. Don't spend too long deliberating.....you could be playing it!

When it comes to Sadowsky i always choose rosewood! The wood they use is Morado, it has a sound that sits somewhere in between maple and true rose wood, the best of both worlds really

So i'd go for White - Rosewood

or to throw a spanner in the works.................
