Hey
So I need new strings, and can't afford DR so am going to go for the british equivalent - status graphite.
Now one set of the premium round wound 40-100 is £18

six sets are £14.33 each - I wouldn't mind saving that £8

does anyone want a set? if enough folk do ill order 6, they are not individually packed so possibly edinburgh and around folk only and we can try meet up or something.

£7.95.

Absolute bargain, check the reviews on strings direct, I've used with no torubles whatsoever.

have you tried/compared these Status strings before? I've used DR Sunbeams but I'm not prepared to pay the present prices, so I'm looking for decent nickel alternatives.

yeah, I used to use them, and the last two years switched to DR string, loved Hibeams, and Fatbeams were good for a while and then as they get older the extra bass overpowered the overall tone.
status have a similar feel and similar tone (to the Hibeams) not identical but the closest I've found- I don't know if they do nickel though? But I would recommend them.
I'm going back to them as they sound similar, i prefer the way they age and the customer service is awesome. oh and they are about half the price.

I looked at them but I change my strings once a year or so so the longer lastingness of DR or status appeal to me more.

Good point, though i guess changing once a year makes the status strings at normal price look good. Less than 5p a day!!
