Judo Chop
I bought a set of gold control knobs off my mate, who said they'd fit a P-bass or a Telecaster. When I tried to put them on my bass I noticed that they didn't have the black insert that I found inside the original chrome knobs, which seems to hold them in place. This is probably a ridiculously soft question, but does anybody know how I can get them to fit? Any help or cruel mockery would be appreciated. Ou7shined
You could try a bit of card or something in there.
Dave Vader
They haven't by any chance got little grub screws on the side to screw them on have they? I once didn't notice them, and felt a bit of a prat when I realised they were there and screwed them into place. If not then Rich is right, bit of card should work. Judo Chop
There's screws on the side, I feel like a tit now. Just in case that doesn't work, how do I "Roach" my knobs? (Ooh Matron.)

Big_Stu
..........an old trick was to get a pack of Rizla cig papers & fold one over into a strip of whatever thickness it took to hold it into place.
