henry norton Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Expensive = Alembic I s'pose in that sense it could be a Fodera too? Quote
charic Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 It's very shukerish but I doubt it's that. Quote
xgsjx Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) Is it an Aria? or maybe a Westone??? Edited October 7, 2011 by xgsjx Quote

LiamPodmore Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Looks like an old Ibanez SR to me, but i doubt they were that expensive. Liam Quote

TRBboy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 For some reason the fretboard inlays make me want to say Yamaha (they kinda look a bit like the John Pattituci ones from a distance) so could it be one of the first TRBs or a prototype? That does seem a bit common though, so I guess it's more likely to be an Alembic or something! Quote
bubinga5 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 MUAAAAAGHHH. this may take a while.. Quote
Darkstrike Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Hard to tell with such a tiny pic, but the bridge looks like a Babicz, which would mean it can't be that old, unless it's been modded. Unless of course it's just a similar looking bridge... Quote
bubinga5 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 sorry its a rare pic of a very rare bass.. i cant make it any bigger.... the make is not that rare though... not seen too much now in bass circles.. although they make make basses now... Quote
Doctor J Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Looks like a fancy assed Hamer impact, no? I've never played a Hamer bass but a friend of mine had one of their guitars back in the 90's, very nice it was too. Quote
4 Strings Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 A through neck doesn't mean expensive and the control covers look to be plastic and not particularly well fitting. Seems like an expensive name rather than a small luthier. I thought PRS too, but it really doesn't seem like their style (and did they ever make basses?). ESP? Quote

I don't think they really 'got' the bass market the same way they found their way with guitars, but some people on the forum swear by them. Quote
