bubinga5 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) well someone gonna dig it.....great bongos in the back.... (headphones advised) Edited October 7, 2011 by bubinga5 Quote
BottomE Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) I tried to like it. The band is great - nice fat bass sound. Her singing ruins it for me. Edited October 7, 2011 by BottomE Quote
ShergoldSnickers Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) I really can't think how this track could possibly be improved. Full of subtlety and musicianship. I actually like her voice but can see why many don't though. Edited October 7, 2011 by ShergoldSnickers Quote
xgsjx Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I'll get a listen to this version after work. She does have one of those voices you either love or hate. Post is a brilliant album (which this is from). My fave bassline to play on it is Army Of Me. It's a bit of a workout (not hard, just tough on my hand position). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3biZkA-TNvs The notes are Bb, C, Bb, Ab, G, Bb, C. Quote
Wil Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Love Bjork, and haven't heard that remix album so I'll give it a spin later when I get a chance to listen properly. Looking forward to Biophillia a lot. Quote
xgsjx Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I've got the app for it on my iPhone & can download tracks, but haven't as yet. I might just do that tonight. Quote
Wil Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Any artist who uses a synth with a working tesla coil attached is ok in my book. Definitely my favourite "whale voiced icelandic uber pixie". Quote
Wooks79 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I'm a massive Bjork fan, absolutely love her music. I went to see her the night before my wedding about 200 or so miles away from where I should have been to get married a few years ago, and I was worried the first words I would say to my wife to be when I saw her would be "Bjork was amazing!" I'm not that into this remix of Isobel to be honest though. The Biophilia shows in Manchester earlier this year were phenomenal. Only time I would ever get GAS for a Tesla coil! Quote
xgsjx Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I saw her in Vegas about 3-4 years ago & was outstanding. I've been trying to find out what the round light up table was with the accoutriments was that they used for Desired Constellation. Any ideas? Quote

Wil Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 This is my favourite Bjork tune at the moment. All done with just the human voice (as far as I know) - fantastic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIP1vtEPWqk Quote
xgsjx Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Most of Medulla is just human voice. I like Triumph of the Heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvgVsxaqYgA&feature=related Quote

Sugarcubes were the first band I ever saw - 1991 at Brixton Academy.. Bjork was so completely amazing - totally blew me away (and I was also completely in love with her!) I guess it was this tour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFblO6Z3uU I haven't been quite so into her solo stuff TBH. Quote
