cfmusic01
I have a bad ass on one of my basses and i am going to buy a new bridge for my new bass. Tempted to go for a Babicz. Would be interested to hear peoples opinions on both? Cheers
gjones
On the website the Babicz looks pretty chunky. I liked the badass I had on my old Jazz Bass as the baseplate was thin and enabled me to get a very low action but I never felt it made the bass sound any different to the bog standard Fender Bridge. On the other hand the Fender vintage bridge with spiral saddles I fitted did alter the sound of the jazz and I ended up with a much toppier sound (which I didn't like much and made me go straight back to the badass). You won't get much better soundwise than the badass you already have. Why do you want to change - are you after something that can adjust the string spacing on your bass or something? Or do you just like the look of the Babicz? Edited October 8, 2011 by gjones
Ou7shined
My opinion on both, buy either bridge but make your decision based upon looks and function rather than tone.
