I've decided to sell my Les Paul to fund another purchase.

I bought this at the Yorkshire Bass Bash earlier this year from Bass Gear. Its a 1996 model (according to the Gibson serial number decoder).

The preamp is a factory fitted Bartolini preamp - volume, blend, treble boost/cut, and bass boost cut. This really does sound fantastic. You get the expected thick Gibson tone, but the active electronics bring some real versatility. Boost the treble, cut the bass, and you get a fizzing MM tone. Boost the bass, and you get a P type tone. But none of the muddiness you can get with Gibsons.

In traditional Les Paul style the body is mahogany with a maple top. The photos don't do the top justice - it actually has some really nice birdseye type grain. The fretboard is ebony with pearloid inlays.

Full scale (34").

It's not light - weighing in at about 10lbs on my bathroom scales.

In mint condition, except for a few minor scratches on the back.

And it comes with a fitted Gibson USA hard case with pink (yes pink!) fur lining.

I paid £800 when I bought it from Bass Gear. I'm looking for £675 posted for a quick sale.

Nice bass, but I'm not really after a 5 string I'm afraid.
