PauBass Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Up for sale is this Quik-Connect J Set of EMG Pickups. They are like brand new, I bought them two months ago and have only been used for a few hours. They are in mint condition and come with all the original packaging and components included when I bought them. They sound great and are very easy to install, the Quik-Connect system makes it very easy. More info and demo here: http://www.emgpickup...s/index/60/25/2 Now pics: Price? £110 delivered Edited November 2, 2011 by PauBass
Rumble Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Can these be used with both a passive control setup and an active onboard preamp (i.e Audere, J-retro etc...)? Thanks

Thanks
I haven't used them myself with a preamp but reading on the wiring diagrams provided by EMG, it says they can be used with an active BTC Control so I assume they can be used with other preamps too. They sound superb on their own I've got to say.
PauBass Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Come on people, these pickups are superb sounding and like brand new
dmccombe7 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Any specific reason for selling after 2 mths. From memory i thought you were quite excited about them. I was thinking about fitting a set of these to my Geddy Lee Jazz but not sure. Dave

From memory i thought you were quite excited about them. I was thinking about fitting a set of these to my Geddy Lee Jazz but not sure. Dave
Not really, I like them a lot!... and I still highly recommend them. Right now I need something more classic sounding. At the time I fitted them to my Geddy I had a '78 Jazz that was covering that ground but I sold it to a friend....when I have another Fender I'd definitely fit some EMG's but for now I need the cash.
dmccombe7 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 That's more or less why I've hesitated doing it. I kinda like the fender sound but just think the pick-ups could be better balanced which i'm not sure Fender address unless i go for USA spec pick-ups. That's maybe another thread qustion though. Jury still out for me I'm afraid so gonna hold off to find out a bit more. Good luck with the sale cheers Dave
