Original '62 Precision on that t'bay

Hi Guys,

Always lusted after a '62 Precision - a la Mr. Jameson & there's one on that t'bay - sorry I can't do a link - I'm very old & a card carrying technophobe! - but it's always worrying not being an expert - so just wondered what the Basschat Fender aficinados thought? i.e. is it Kosher? - it looks OK to my untrained eye but what would you say it was worth??

Even though i'm not a fan of Sunburst (Despite having a Sunburst main bass) and rosewood fretboards, that thing is absolutely gorgeous. A tad out of my price range though.

I don't like sunburst either, [i]except[/i] when it's a pre-CBS P-Bass with threaded barrel bridge, klusons and clay dots. Why is this??

that bass was on with no reserve a few days ago and was only at 600 with 5 days to go! shame he obviously realised it was worth a lot more when he saw the new kings road lot
