jonsparrow91 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) Just a family photo to begin with, more photos will come if interest rises. From left to right: "Fender" fretless jazz, ESP/LTD c-304, Fender Mexican Standard Jazz, Swift Acoustic bass (defretted.) "Fender" Fretless Jazz Bass: It says Fender on the headstock but none of it is genuine. The neck has been defretted and stained and currently has some scuffs and scratches on, nothing some stain and laquer can't fix. It has a WD Music bridge and is strung with a set of Fender tapewound strings. The action and intonation are perfect and there are no dead spots. Acceptable condition. THERE ARE NO PICKUPS OR CONTROL PLATE IN THIS BASS. £100 obo. ESP/LTD C-304: Very bright and zingy, very modern. Not to my tastes at all but still a flawless bass. Two passive EMG-HZ pickups (with exposed pole pieces) and an active preamp (vol/pan/bass/mid/treb.) 35" scale and 24 frets, grrrrrrrrrrrreat for slap. Neckthrough construction, gold hardware, v.low action at the moment. Good condition. £200 obo. (Postage to be paid on top but I will sort out the packaging and courier.) Swift Acoustic Bass (defretted). Ripped the frets out (haven't filed the gaps yet) and pretended it was a double bass. Surprisingly good condition. £20, collection only. Selling these beauties BECAUSE I AM AN IDIOT WHO SPENDS TOO MUCH MONEY. GOD DAMN IT. No trades. Edited October 20, 2011 by spaz91
tom1946 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) You paid £550 for a MIM Jazz? Was it new? Why are you selling it if you don't mind me asking? Edited October 13, 2011 by tom1946
Gust0o Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011
You paid £550 for a MIM Jazz? Was it new? Why are you selling it if you don't mind me asking?
That's the RRP from new, these days, Tom - or it looks to be near enough, from a quick browse in town. It's a smart looking bass, mind.
Gust0o Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You don't fancy a lovely MIM P, in trade for it, do you Spaz?

Why are you selling it if you don't mind me asking?
Yup, brand new from the Digital Village in Acton. An impulse buy, of course. I'm selling because I realised that, while I was only using on bass (the MIM), I had enough basses to put together to get something a little more upmarket.

jonsparrow91 Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Going up. Taking a few extra piccies now.
jonsparrow91 Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Bump, removed a bass and altered the main post. Sorry for lack of decent photos, I'm currently 100s of miles away from these basses and my camera lacks the necessary zoom.
davewarwickbass Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Is the MiM jazz still up for sale? Interested in any trades?
jonsparrow91 Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 Sorry no, keeping that and selling everything else. What were you offering, out of interest?
jonsparrow91 Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Oh come on, these prices are low. Also I really need the money.
Evil Undead Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'd be all over that acoustic if it was postable
jonsparrow91 Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 They're about £40 new, you'd end up paying that for this one with the postage.
