ashdown bulb replacement

i cant get through to ashdown but i dont know the name of the bulb cause maplin said they might do a few colours i need a help

If its one behind the VU its not a conventional bulb, its like a mini tube that you have to solder on, Best phone ashdown, they sent me one FOC

cheers guy's but my mate gave me his broken vu meter so i took the bulb from that

Sorry to hijack your thread dude, how would I replace the bulb in my VU meter on my Ashdown pedal? I phoned Guy about a replacement pot and he said he would email me when he had one spare but that was over a month ago so I'm giving up hope on that.

What bulb would I need to replace the one on the VU with?

i got told it was a 12v bulb but i dont no about the pedals i got a blue one i could send you

If I was to wire a 12v grain of wheat bulb (any colour) to the positive and negative connections of the VU meter, would it affect how the VU reads or would it work as it did still?

Bummer my bulb has gone after 2 months...... if its a conventional bulb and its just a matter of unscrewing the 4 philips screws, slotting out the amp from its surround and popping in a new bulb, I can do that..... but if its soldering something, I'll have to take it to an electricians or tv repair shop or something

I got a replacement bulb for my fender hotrod from a car spares shop. Ther pretty regular bulbs I think.

Found a reference to a 12v bulb on a forum, ordered 2 off eBay, took the head and bulbs to a local music shop lunchtime, went back by 5pm.... Guy says they were the wrong bulbs, showed me a far bigger bulb like a small tube with wire each side, says he had to slot the
amp out of case, take all the knobs, fixings etc off the front of the head to get at the VU ...... Then says that he soldered on the 2 bulbs instead and here it is back for £20. Meanwhile still awaiting a response from the ashdown techs :-(
