What's the most you've paid for an amp service?

Since I have a bit of an interest in Sound City amps at this point, a dude got in touch with me about selling his. He said he paid £500 for a full overhaul, that seemed loads, for an amp that might make that if you are lucky. Might have to start learning this amp fixing faster and better.

Could do with getting mine serviced at some point but no way would i pay £500. Ive been quoted crica £60 which would iclude full service, any cap's replacing and valves tested but not replaced. This was from a guy in Preston. Will get it done after payday methinks

10 years ago I paid £45 for a checkup. The amp was fine so that was the final bill.

I've paid £150 for a total rebuild of an old dirty trashed amp, and £120 to lose a slight hum and revlave with valves I supplied (involved full recap and new sockets). I always supply a lengthy list of demands, so generally I can see the time that goes into it.
