MB1
MB1. Just noticed this on sale by Ninarownes definately different to ya stock 3000 series This is what happens when you live 5 miles away from Status!... Nice! Bigwan
Hmmm that looks very familiar - It was Dr.Dave's and was for sale here last year. Listing doesn't happen to mention that Jon Shuker did the spalted beech top... It WAS an original 3000: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/109162-status-sold/page__hl__%22spalted+beech%22__fromsearch__1
LukeFRC
nicely presented listing though. from 99p to £600 odd isn't bad. I don't know, does a different top to stock effect the bass that much? i.e. does it matter if he's not said? he's hardly hiding the fact it exists

robocorpse
That is a very misleading advert, its (purposely?) not mentioning the key points of the bass, ie its had a new top AND a refin, not by Status. The bidder probably thinks he/she is buying a minty factory custom, and as such is being indirectly misled. You wouldn't put up an old P-Bass and say its in fantastic condition, then forget to mention its a refin. If I won this thinking it was stock, then subsequently found out it was a recap/refin, I'd be very angry.
Bigwan
Yeah I'd be faffed-off too. Having said that Jon does excellent work (that I can attest to from 1st hand experience). I wouldn't have paid that much for it (Finished at just over a grand for anyone who hasn't clicked the link - double what Dr. Dave sold it for here last year... wish I'd bought it at the time!). MB1. 1020 pounds I just missed this when the Doc had it, individual, but thats one weighty price for a 3000 series .
Totally - I've just bought one, maybe in not such minty-fresh condition, but it was a third of that price!
