Len_derby Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Welcome Stevie. That's good band name - phoenix rising. Do you play any Wishbone 'Ash' songs? I'll get me coat...... Quote
stevie fingers Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Hi Len Well youd think eh lol...no...mainly Pink floyd whitesnake thin lizzy eagles peter frampton...more melodic classic rock to suit our singers voice :-) Do like the Ash though...saw them when they released the Live Dates album, ands more recently about 5 years ago too . Len_derby Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I played the 'Argus' album to death when it came out (I was a teenager at home then and used to stick it on the family StereoGram). I can't recall ever hearing any band cover their songs, which is quite interesting really. Quote
soopercrip Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Welcome Stevie, us less able have to stick together, lots of 'norms' on here Andy Quote
Teobass75 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hi guys! I'm Matteo from Milan (Italy). I'm 36 YO and play in an Iron Maiden tribute band with my Fender Precision, and funk/jazz/fuzion at home with my Pedulla Thunderbolt fretless (unbelivable goods for slapping!) Se You later! Teo Quote
duncbassgit Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Hi Stevie, I only joined this site yesterday so I'm a newbie as well (at age 49) I play in a band called "The Phoenix Band" here at Stafford !! I know exactly what you mean about being ill. I've been off work for 6 months with cancer, but my bass runs and scales have improved loads with all the practice. Hope we both get some good tips from the website. Duncan Edited October 24, 2011 by duncbassgit Quote
