Been playing bass on and off for 36 years. Started playing live in the summer of 1976, hot year that! I played in a couple of punk bands between 1976 and 1979, had a great time. The bands I played in also supported a couple of the well known bands of the time. Performed predominantly in and around London and a couple of gigs down on the south coast. Latterly, I played in several rock/metal bands until the mid eighties. Damaged my hearing, and got tinnitus from playing too loud. Had to “retire” from playing live at 25 years old! The last band I played in had 2 lead guitarists and a heavy handed drummer. What do they say, if it’s too loud, you’re too old! Also play a bit of six string guitar, averagely! Did some home recording in the 1990’s, and again around 6 years ago. Just been given the opportunity to do some bass work on a mates recording project (for fun), and have re-equipped myself with a couple of new guitars, and some Laney amplification. Might try and do a couple of gigs for fun, quietly!! Wife tells me that my current bass playing is “different”, and the dog howls when I play, so I’m still getting a reaction, and therefore must be good, eh! I like all types of music, punk, reggae, rock, folk, metal, soul, blues, rock n roll and even a bit of Irish! Also ride motorbikes. Mainly listen to rock…! PS photo of me on stage with my band "Hunter" at the Clarendon Hotel Hammersmith in 1981, on the Radio Floss road show.
