xgsjx Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Hey all, I've got a charity gig on 12th November with my band, BigRoom. We're kind of an unusual mix of Rock, Americana, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Electro & anything else you can feed us (The singer plays a Godin Synth access guitar, the drummer plays a mixture of Acoustic & electronic kit, I play bass thru some fx & get as techno DnB sounding as I can & there's a lady whom plays either Mandolin, Tin Whistle, Bodhran or Spoons. This set will be more Rock/Blues/Electro stuff. There's another band on with us called Main Street Blues (from Edinburgh), no points for guessing what style of music they play! It's in the Victoria Hall in Dunblane (straight across the road from the train station). As it's for charity, there's a fee to get in. I will get back with a price & a start time. Quote
xgsjx Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Tickets are £10 either from Smallprint (in Stirling) or on the door. Doors open at 7:30pm. Quote
The Dark Lord Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Do you have any recordings of this eclectic mix that we can hear? Quote
xgsjx Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) I haven't got any of this current band. However, me, the singer/guitarist & the drummer are from a previous band called Frigorifico & we still do a good few of the same songs (Me & the Singer do all the writing). http://www.myspace.com/frigorific We're doing Minor Key Blues & Already There from that list. BigRoom is a little different from what it is on MySpace & we're not doing any of the songs that's on here... http://www.myspace.com/bigroomgb I'll get some recordings of this gig if I can. Edited to put a better link up (slightly better mixes).
