New from Fender ... hmmm now these look nice!

It seems they've made a mistake on the specs of these basses on their website, it says here one bridge Jazz bass pickup and neck Precision... they look both like jazz pickups to me, shame it would have been nice if they were a P/J configuration

this has the P pickup though:

shame is doesn't have all the controls...

EDIT: Ignore me, I got the wrong page on the fender website..

I think that one is a different variant, i.e. non Deluxe and non active / passive.

Yeah, it's a Modern Player. Like I said, I got the wrong page.

But that Deluxe Jaguar is growing on me...

It wouldn't surprise me and still charge us the same price for the MIJ version.

I noticed the 70's Pbass is same price as the Jbass over the pond, yet they're £200+ more over here.
