Selling my fretless bass as I am not using it, I like Nanyo Basses and wanted to try fretless, but it just is not happening.

It is generally in good nick for age, body work is surprisingly good, usual surface swirls and a bit of buckle rash. The hardware on the bass is a little tarnished and could do with a bit of a clean and it is missing a strap button on the bottom of the bass(it was missing when I bought it).

Not seen one of these about on here or eBay before so pitching it at[s] £200[/s] £175 collected (Ipswich or Suffolk), I have not got a gig bag for this so I dont want to risk it in the post.

That's seriously sexy. Any interest in trades? I've got an ESP/LTD c304 up for grabs (Selling for £220 but I'd be happy with a swap.) A similar bass but with frets. :)

Hi - I've got a fretted Bass Collection, but would like a fretless to complete the set!

A couple of questions - the bass looks like it's been de-fretted rather than an original fretless as they don't have any lines?
Also is it passive or active?

If you could let me know!

thanks

Hello Lordfrog,

The bass may well have been de-fretted as it is lined, I bought this secondhand as a fretless so I dont know for sure.

The bass is active.

Cheers

From what I remember these Bass Collection are Active/Passive, thats what the switch does, used to run mine just in passive all the time :)

My old SB330 fretless was also lined, but a factory fretless not a de-fretted bass.

Same with my current SB310 fretless.

Interested to see those soap-bars. I've had several Bass Collections (struggling to remember if it's 5 or 6 :) ) and they've all had either split-P or Jazz pickups.

How many models, variations of Bass Collection basses were there?

I would love to see a central information resource on the Bass Collection brand.

One of , if not the, definitive resources is present right on this 'ere site.

I keep asking the mods to re-sticky it, and they keep ignoring me.

Nice bass by the way, if I didn't already have an unlined fretless ...

I have the spit of that bass (same finish, hardware, pups), but with frets, badged as a 320. I ALSO have the spit of that bass (same finish, hardware), but with the soap bars and fretless, badged as a 330. I thought the 330 config was used to delineate the differet pickup spec rather than fretted v fretless as I vaguely remember seeing a fretted 330 with soapbars.

Anyway have a bump for a rather keenly priced, extremely awesome bass

Shame you're so far away from me otherwise I'd have snapped that up. Have a bump for a very beautiful bass.

Cheers, I will normally post, but I have no gigbag or case and I just dont trust sending it in cardboard and bubble wrap.

I paid £200 for my fretless SGC Nanyo SB320 (1988 model) so this is a bargain for the next-up-in-the-range bass.

Cheers for the bump, perhaps I had better increase the price :)

Hmm, so this is still available? My spouse has some friends in the UK who might be take on the responsibility to ship it here to me in the USA...

The bass is still available, would your friends be able to collect the bass? It is listed as collection only.

Thanks

Yes, he would be able to collect it. We'd have to work out the transfer details. I have a few other questions about it. Would you contact me via my email?

I tried to send you a message via the forum, but my tablet doesn't display the whole screen....

Thanks!
