Kurt Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 OK, this may be something that's passed me by, but I was in London today and I visited The Bass Centre, except it isn't there any more-gone, empyy and signs taken down. The website's still up-what gives? Peace Kurt Quote

s_u_y_* Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Yep... they've packed up and decided to just keep it as an internet shop. Time will tell whether or not they can carve up their own niche in the market. One thing which made me sit up was the fact they don't sell Laklands anymore (Perhaps a fact noted by GAK maybe now they started selling them?). Anyone know the reasons why? Quote
crez5150 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Lakland is under new distribution in the UK I believe Quote
Buzz Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Sound Control have lakkys in as well, only skylines in the Brum branch, which were the cream of the crop among a seriously bad selection of basses and not a huge amount of amps. Went in there to try some Stingrays, a Lodestone, and Ashdown Little Giant heads, they had none of the mentioned, and didn't even have any new 2008 Fender basses. Just 5 MIA jazzes and 1 P. Wasn't impressed, Fairdeal seemed a much better shop in brum. Quote
JJTee Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) Bass centre currently has some cheap deals on EBS pedals...http://www.basscentre.com/categories.asp?cID=16 Have ordered an Octabass - will be interested to see how long it takes to arrive. Edited March 24, 2008 by JJTee Quote
