AntLockyer
I have been a musical fraud for years. Learnings songs, playing the same stuff over and over, not knowing any of the notes on the fret board etc. I decided to change that this week and have started working hard. I'm not instant on the notes yet but I know where they are with a second or so thought. I've been learning the actual notes in scales (and the intervals to make them rather than just learning it parrot fashion) and then applying that to the fretboard rather than just learn a shape (which I didn't really know either). I came home from work, found the chords to a song I liked and gradually built up my own bassline based on the chord notes (not just root and fifths based on shapes). I've got a good book on Scales am going to have a lesson soon and am generally feeling good about it all.
oldslapper
Well done..... Although that's another one that's deserted the musical fraud club, not many of us left...
Blademan_98
No matter how much I learn I still feel like a fraud Still, it's all music! Congratulations on taking the next step and I hope you get to grips with it all.
