ficelles
Here's a nice Epi semi bass (I've been after a Rivera or similar for a while). Theoretically 40 years old-ish and possibly USA-made. The seller has been kind enough to photo the serial number, but putting it into the GuitarDater site says it's a 1990 Korean model. Anyone know just how accurate that site is? ficelles
If it is and it's original, that would definitely cast doubt on the GuitarDater result... ficelles
Musky
It's a Matsumoku made Epi 5120, identical to the Aria with the same model number. Basically everything he's saying is correct, though it would never have been anywhere near Kalamazoo. Edit: Just checked the Guitar Dater and it includes this note: "Serial numbers from 70' and 80's era Epiphone guitars made in Japan are not supported. The reason for this is that there is no reliable documentation from this time period." Edited October 23, 2011 by Musky
