originalfunkbrother Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 The church I play at normally include some songs of a rock bias (Hillsong etc) and whilst I have played these songs before without effect, I feel the need to get a pedal that would best bring out the bass for this genre. Please suggest a pedal (distortion or similar) that would do the job. Thanks! Quote
paul_5 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 we do lots of Hillsong stuff too. I tend to use a Dave Hall VT2 for small amounts of crunch. I think there's a VT1 flying about on here for sale. Occasionally I'll fire up the big muff, but for the most part it's the VT2. It's just lovely. The ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive is also really good at 'gentle' distortion too - they can be had second-hand for reasonable money too. Quote
originalfunkbrother Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Thanks Paul. I will look into the VT2. Do you have any experience with the Electro-Harmonix Bass Blogger? Quote
paul_5 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Not used one, the bass big muff is dirty as you like though. Need to warn you though, the VT2 ain't cheap - I picked mine up used for £120ish. Quote
originalfunkbrother Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Wow! Forewarned is forearmed! Thanks again... Quote
