SteveO Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I too like your 'down to earth' style - nothing mote irritating than the usual 'look at me' presenters. It's probably a British thing. Are there any plans for tutorial bass stuff too? I thought the rhythm guitar tutorial on triads in issue 1 was well done (I've not looked at any others yet) - again the unpretentious informative style really works well. Looking forward to the next issue. Quote
Dood Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Thank you all! Ahhh glad to hear I'm off to a good start! I'm certainly open to suggestions! Yup, there are plans for Bass tutorials too and lots of other goodies up our sleeves! I've completed my reviews for the next issue already so it won't be far off now! Quote
Jamesemt Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Do you know if there's going to be an iPad version? Quote
Dood Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Yup, I believe there will be, yes! Quote
Mornats Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Ah, yes I've watched the review of the Overwater Aspiration Deluxe 5-string (and mentioned it in the Overwater thread on here). I thought it was a great review that actually focused on the bass and as a few peeps have mentioned, focused on the bass rather than trying to show off your skills. The quality of the sound on the video was pretty good too I thought. It's always hard to get an idea of a bass sound watching, for example, YouTube clips as the quality of the recording can be so iffy. Most of them have far too much hand and string noise in them (if you know what I mean). This one actually focuses on the sound coming out of the bass. Thumbs up Quote
Dood Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 Awesome! Thank you! - I was looking forward to having a nose at that Bass actually! - I was very pleased that it lived up to the hype around it. Infact I'm pretty pleased that I've not had any duff kit to review yet! Quote
Mornats Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 They're great basses. I popped into a music shop to buy a book and thought I'd have a go of one as I'd heard good things about them. I ended up walking out with my Contemporary J4 Quote
