Spent the day with Chris. The workshop is cool. Typical Chris - neat and tidy. Here's some pics:

DOH! Pet hate that, tell him to get some bliddy guitar hangers on the wall or at least invest in some kind of rack or guitar stands! :D

Just checked the price list on his website and he has a 'de-fret' down as £60? Is that right!

Yup!!! That's the price!!

not sure if there was a better place for this but just got some high quality work done by Chris in Edinburgh - new nut on Warwick and sorted out wiring/earthing on a Fender Marcus with John East pre (this one sounded tricky to identify and sort issue inc calls to John but job done). Very highly recommended and certainly IMHO the best in Edinburgh area.

Chris and I were talking last Wednesday. He was saying that the body and neck were going off to have the body and headstock sprayed in Fiat "Smooth Mint". I'm popping through to see him on Monday 2nd November.

I have a very nice Jazz bass neck which has had some amateur nut filing done on it (previous owner). I think a new nut and a setup is in order. And Chris's workshop is just down the road :)

Chris repaired my Warwick Thumb 89 while I waited. Was getting a clicking noise every now and again. He narrowed it down to the encapsulated electronics and suggested it would be cheaper and easier for me to buy direct from Warwick than via himself. He gave me all the part numbers. I ordered and as I said he fitted while I waited one evening after work around 5pm ish. Couldn't be more helpful, pleasant and his cost for labour was a pittance compared to what i'm used to elsewhere. Highly recommended from me if that means anything.
