US Schecter anyone?

I'm being rather drawn in by this;

I used to have one of the modern Korean built Schecters and it was a decent enough low-mid range active. I assume this is a rather different beast. If there was no other interest, after tax/import duty I reckon I'd be looking at the £350 mark. Would it make more sense to just look out for an old power jazz or a modded P instead?
