Al Heeley
My Stingray really needs a little facelift. Its been stuck with the cream pearlescent one since I bought it bu now calling for a new pick guard but can't decide which way to go. I can't find a metal chrome one to match my black tele, the nearest is a clear mirror plate which would look cool against the black fleck, or do i just go for classic black? [note: this pic is not my 'Ray, it's another black fleck one found on google images, mine's a maple neck and 3-band eq plus piezo but the body and scratch plate are same] Edited October 27, 2011 by Al Heeley

Al Heeley
you know, chrome calls me, aurora projects (crazy LED neck boys) do some ..... [edit] ok they don't, they do polished aluminium which tarnishes quickly, or mirror acrylic Edited October 28, 2011 by Al Heeley
Subbeh
I'd be tempted to go with black pearl, having said that I do like the way it looks now!
Hobbayne
How about a nice red one? ezbass
Tort or black pearl are other options. I know this isn't helping and just adding more indecision.
swanbrook
I love it as is, tort is cool too but if it was me I would think about clear and put a design under it or a picture of something. But I do love the white pearl.
Al Heeley
does anyone have a mirror acrylic one?
mcnach
It's got to be a black one, in my opinion. If you're considering mirror ones, I have a blue mirror one that could look cool. Here's a picture of it on my natural Stingray, simply placed over the original black one, not screwed in. The apparent scratches is just the plastic protective cover which has never been removed. I ended up with a cream guard on thsi bass, and later I put the original black back on. Edited October 29, 2011 by mcnach
Al Heeley
if i can't get a proper chrome one then I think it will have to be black, it will match my Geddy jazz then, thats already had the black scratch makeover.
