Hobbayne
Is that it? Have to learn this for an audition next week. Should only take a minute then.
Doctor J
AC/DC isn't about being clever with flash fretboard w***ery, it's about nailing the groove, making it swing, getting the lads to shake their heads and the ladies to shake their arses. Perhaps this ain't the band you're looking for?
tonyf
Great tune / great band. Sometimes, less is more
Hobbayne
Not taking the pi55 out of it, but first time I heard that one, i,m more familiar with the later stuff!

tombboy
Class stuff and Mark Evans was/is a great bassist. Listen to the studio version of High Voltage and you'll hear some really cool almost subliminal bass runs.
tonyf
+1 for High Voltage. I adore "It's a long way to the top (if you wanna rock'n'roll)". It takes a lot of b*llocks to successfully pull off a bag-pipe/guitar solo in a rock'n'roll tune
clarkpegasus4001
My band is supporting an AC/DC tribute next month at Rock City Nottingham, i'm really looking forward to it. Bass (and music) does not have to be complicated to be good.......IMO
skankdelvar
'Ain't no fun...' - One of my favourite AC DC choons. "Hey Howard ... get your f***in' jumbo jet off my airport" RIP Bon, the heart and soul of rock & roll. kevin_lindsay
Playing AC/DC stuff is great - you get to be a bass player in it's truest form. It's all about creating the foundation baby!!!
Lozz196
Yeah, great bass playing, locking in with the drums and creating a foundation for the other instruments to sound good. Must take great discipline for both the bassist, drummer, and to a certain extent, rhythm guitarist to just hang in there with the groove, especially for a live set, but they all know that they are doing the right thing, and not getting in the way of either the vocs, or lead gtr.
