Hi Guys, i've just recently bought a 98 SVT-4 for £350 (Pretty good deal if you ask me). The only issue with it is the frequency cross over knob has snapped off and will need a new pot, how easy is this to replace myself or would it be a job for a pro?

Thanks alot

Well the pot is 99% certain to be soldered directly onto the preamp PCB, so you'll need to be able to lift that out to get to the underside - generally meaning that you'll have to undo all of the pot retaining nuts from the front panel of the amp.

Once you've done that it's just a case of desoldering the pot contacts, sliding the replacement in, resoldering and reassembling the amp.

Not a major undertaking but it really depends on your manual dexterity and ability to wield a soldering iron.
