Odd looking P Bass on Ebay

Any thoughts? The string retainer looks wrong and there are three controls - look at the truss rod access....found in an Uncle's loft I expect!

looks like a three piece body - one for each control knob.

The string button looks right (as compared to my own genuine 70's P) if a bit new looking.

The giveaway has to be the three control knobs?????? WTF....

That could be true, but the oposite could be the case too - If you didn't know what you were looking for (I'm only just learning)and just looked up the serial number you could get fleeced for a lot of money for a cheap copy with a headstock logo mod. I'd hope that it is genuine it may have been modded. Im afraid if I was spending serious money on a bass, i wouldn't distance buy.
