peteb
I was going to suggest the iGig, which is excellent I got the iGig in preference to the Mono (which also looks great), mainly as it has more storage space
JTUK
If I load and pack the basses then a simple gig bag with padding and a decent zip is ok. If I don't travel with the bass then a hard case, and for flying a full flightcase.. Most of the soft cases are varing degrees of cheap tat so expect them fall apart unless handled with a lot of care. If they last..BONUS..!! I've had 18 months out of mine so far and they do ok. pietruszka
if we could maybe keep this thread updated to what is best for wear and tear. I have a mate a uni who has the M80 and he says it is starting to fall apart after 18 months. Tbf thought it will have been used everyday
Good idea. Im still extremely happy with my M80. For years I used standard bags for my bass, the Ritter RB700 was rather good but the strap pin went through the bottom, they have altered the design slightly to avoid this. The Warwicks aren't bad and I still use mine for my fretless. One's to avoid like the plague are the CBN's, they're dreadful, mine fell apart in about 6 months. Guitar Guitar replaced it for me but they just don't have any quality to them at all. OK, they're only £30 but you would expect them to last more than 6 months. A good gig bag is up there with earplugs, ie, worth the investment. Dan
Tankdave
Another "thumbs up" for the Contego, my Nordy came supplied in one. It's about as good as a "floppy" bag can be, if you move your bass about yourself then it will do just fine, but if someone else gets to be throwing your pride & joy in & out of a van etc., a hard "flightcase" is a better bet. WalMan
I have had a Mono double for the L2500's as it makes life easier loading the car and as my gear travels by car not van. Really pleased with it & so far no problems
