CBbass Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) So I can't really find a thread about this, I'm very curious to see peoples number 1 bass. You know, only save 1 from a burning building type. Pics preferably. At the moment I don't have any bass! But when I get the one I just ordered I'll post. Let's see em! Edit: It's a first year 1982 Fullerton 57 reissue P bass. They are basically custom shop quality. This one weighs 6.2lbs. neepheid Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I normally would say my G&L Tribute L-2000 but my wife recently bought me a Gibson RD Artist so I really must save it above all others I think. Quote
Paul S Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My mid-80s Fender Power Jazz Bass Special. Rock monster! Quote

Doctor J Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My old ESP, it's just got the magic tone, been the right bass at the right time for almost 20 years now. Excuse the humongous pic. Quote
BassBus Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I'd make every effort to rescue my three Status basses as they are all supreme. If it had to be one though, I'd go for the Electro. The other two could be replaced with something almost identical but the Electro could not. Was bought used from Ebay at a resonable price but it is just so easy to play and has a lovely sound to it. retroman Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Think this would have to be the one. Such a lovely old thing to play. Recently done a three day stint in the studio with the ol' Bird, and it sounds gorgeous Quote

Paul S Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Look in the mirror. Worked with me - it is why I don't have one anymore. Quote

Lfalex v1.1 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Bloody 'ell, there's some nice stuff on here (already) Got to side with Ped on this one (though the Streamline's a close second!) Clarky Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My '63 P (year of birth and all that). Since this picture has had a period-correct celluloid tort pickguard added Quote
tonyf Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 The Spector's the one. Close second is my Yamaha Nathan East which I've had since Adam was a lad but I don't play that live that much now. The Spector sounds and plays amazingly every time I use it. T Quote
Chris2112 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My baby, my Scottish beauty. Always the one I come back to. Although over the Christmas season it will be played live at a sit down gig, the Zon Sonus will be covering most of the work. ezbass Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 As much as I use (and love) my Sandberg for pretty much everything, this is my burning house rescue bass Quote
