tividalebass Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 How difficult is it to replace the volume pot, I also struggle to get a good compromise in terms of level at home Quote
AntLockyer Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 A drummist told me how much he liked the sound of my amp (Reidmar and GB 2x12) said it sounded just like an Ashdown. Quote
heminder Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I run it through a 212 and can get home-friendly volumes. The pot is right on the threshold of being off but it's usable. Not sure if the Ashdown comment is a compliment Quote
MikanHannille Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Looking at this plus 2 CL 112. Want to downsize my rig. Been an EBS fan for a while but never really owned my own EBS rig. Quote
jcater Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I prefer the Reidmar through 2 neo 112, i have two CL 112 as back up. Not really sure if there is that much difference in the sound to get too excited by, but the neo 112's are quite a bit lighter. Have been using it with various bands, 60's, latin, blues, etc. The set up has provided a good range of tones to cope with all of these & has been used with Precission, Jazz and Aria EUB. Most of the gigs are fairly low volume so i rarely get the gain and volume on the amp above 10 o'clock. Other reviews seem to think that it would be fine at higher volumes, maybe it is just me getting old but i'm not sure i would care to find out how it copes at these levels. For any average pub / club / function the set up is plenty loud enough at the levels mentioned. Quote
Modman Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I have been browsing through this thread for a little while now and seem quite impressed with the classic line cabs. I am thinking about getting 2 classic 112's and running it with a peavey tour 700 (700watts @ 4ohms) and an Ibanez SR1205. I generally play funk/soul/jazz in a function band, Will these be a good pairing? Quote
JTUK Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I think the two cabs together would be rated at 500w so you'd need to baby them if you run FX's IMO..potentially Quote
Modman Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 The only FX I currently use is an envelope filter which sits behind a compressor, so I guess as long as I don't rag the arse out of them they'd be ok. Quote
DeepEnd Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) I'm about to buy 2 x 112CL cabs , how do they perform at bigger volumes, with a loud rock band can they be used as stage monitors, did they cut through and keep their tone clean? Edited April 1, 2015 by DeepEnd Quote
flippyfloop Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 DeepEnd, Look forward to hearing your impressions if you get the two 112's. Quote
DeepEnd Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I just found a detailed review of the Reidmar + 2 x CL112 cabs http://www.iguitarmag.com/magazine-editions/guitar-interactive-issue-13/reviews/ebs-reidmar-250-d-class-head-ebs-classic-line-cl112-cabinets/ and here with a live band, they sound amazing... : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4fStGsEkAc Quote
Mokolotivet Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Just ordered Reidmar 750. Any ideas about what cab to use? Thinking of Neo212. Other brands are also interesting as long as they suites Reidmar. Any thoughts? Quote
EBS_freak Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Neo 212 is killer. Best cab they do I reckon. Quote
ventus Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 I´m pretty happy with the 750 Reidmar and Proline 410 :-) Quote
