The Dark Lord
Does anyone use the foot controller for the TC Electronic RH450? If so, is it any good .... and would you recommend it?
Legion
Don't have my RH450 anymore but that foot controller was one of the best things about it. Get one, they are seriously sturdy, have a constant tuner display and a handy mute switch as well as access to the 3 presets you have saved
charic
Yeah I use mine and it's well worth it. Pretty lights!
Alec
Don't have/use the footswitch, as I want to keep my stage as clean as possible. I'm happy enough muting and tuning at the head end, and don't use presets enough to warrant it. That said, it would sometimes be handy to have the tuner at my feet. But quite pleased that I can't mute it by accident just by stepping in the wrong place!
chris_b
If I had the foot controller I would use it. When you're tuning it's quicker and looks better if you're not turning your back to the audience.
Floyd Pepper
I use it at every gig...purely for the mute and tuning.

jonsmith
Yes, I use it, both to mute/tune easily and to switch between presets. Yes, it's good and I'd recommend it.
2x18
Yes --I use mine all the time, even at rehearsals! --Its a must have for RH owners in my opinion!
Mike
Must have in my book, I always used mine, mainly for muting and tuning. Essential!
Paul S
I recently bought the Classic 450 and am considering taking the hit on it and getting this - I would use it all the time!
kurcatovium
I use it at every gig...purely for the mute and tuning.
This. I also switch channel from time to time, but not that often. I don't want to look I'm really interested in the music... :-D
molan
I've got one I never got round to selling when my RH450 went. PM me if anyone wants a perfect condition hardly used one
chaypup
I recently bought the Classic 450 and am considering taking the hit on it and getting this - I would use it all the time!
Unfortunately, you can't. The footswitch can only be used with the RH450 or RH750 which has the footswitch on the back. Paul S
I don't think I wrote that clearly - I meant 'taking a hit' as in 'losing money by selling my Classic 450 almost immediately' then shelling out more for the RH450. At the time I didn't think it through and couldn't foresee a use for all the extra toys. Now I can see the benefit of it!
lojo
Im an ex RH owner, but dont see its worth spending out on the features of the RH and not have the foot controller if your going to switch settings at gigs, tuners also good If you aren't going to use the settings like I didn't that much, then not much point having the amp IMHO
