BB2000 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I've never seen such a good buyers market, some cracking basses on here going for a song..
Daniel Acheson Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 What's the fingerboard on this like for dead spots etc. Could you perhaps describe the tone a little (ie is it a "duller" type of fretless or a "swelly, buzzy" type of fretless.....is the fingerboard in good nick? Just asking because there aren't any close photos of it up above...... I'd be interested in this but I couldn't pay more than 300 quid for it to be honest.... Cheers, dan
noelk27 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 No issues re "dead spots". Light wear to the touchboard. As for sound, it's typical of a 70s APII SB. Generally speaking, these basses have a prominent mid-range presence.
chaypup Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 There's a couple of Daion Savage guitars on the 'Bay at the moment if you're still looking.
noelk27 Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 Cheers. Never liked the styling of the Savage/Barbarian. That said, usual Yamaki quality and a possible collectible for the future.
Fionn Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I'm surprised this is still around. Such lovely basses are these. Crazy to think that Mexican Fenders sell for this price. This bass is superior in every way ... only my humble opinion, of course.
Donnyboy Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I've recently put some pics of bolt on SB 600 in gear porn, bump this and the SB 700 are incredible value
Glenn B Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Hi, just wondering if the SB is still available? And would you consider a trade with a Rockingbetter? G
