NO APPLAUSE!! (upsetting)

I play in the same band as Littlewing and the gig he's referring to was last night. We played circa 30 songs and didn't get any response at all to any of the songs. It was hard work to say the least. The odd thing was people were sitting in their seats singing away and bopping along. The songs finished and there was silence. Never had a gig like that before.

Played several gigs where the audience have presented us with a hat of cash at the end of the gig to keep us playing longer, having not clapped once all evening.

Go figure......

We get a similar thing but with ACDC, stock response is "come bach next week when you can hear that, sex on fire and dakota on both nights"

Perhaps they were a bit shy. One gets audiences like that from time to time and it is no reflection on the performer.
