Ibanez SR600-NTF cleaning?

Hi all,

As the title says, I think its about time I gave my SR600 a good clean. Had it almost a year and the wood is starting to look a bit shiny.

The body is plain unvarnished maple and I have no idea what to use to de-grease it, eeewwww lol

Have heard that you can soak the strings in meths to clean them.

Any ideas anyone.
