ezbass Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 It's sad when your heros become vunerable, here's hoping he recovers soon and fully. I still use his Steely Dan lines as practice routines. Quote
risingson Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 sh*t, not good at all, literally one of the all time greatest studio bass players a big inspiration to me! Quote
LemonCello Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 "Yeah" to all of the above. The Dan, still one of my all time fave bands, just so 'musical'. Get well soon Chuck LC Quote

Chris2112 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I hope he is back playing his Ken Smith basses as soon as possible! Glad to hear he's getting better. Quote
Kiwi Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I saw it too which was very saddening. I don't know how many of you are FBriends with him but the one thing that really struck me was how open he has been. Its just great that he's so approachable and generous. He's one of the 70's greats, popularising double stops as well as playing on Donald Fagen's Nightfly and Steely Dan's Aja. I really hope he recovers with all faculties fully intact. Quote
BB3000S Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery. Chuck is one of the greatest musicians ever, and a wonderful person as well. Quote
