I`m nothing to do with it other than that I live fairly close.

Hope this is of interest to the forum!

I went to the last one.Fairly small event with some `master classes` at a nominal extra cost(about £3 quid or so as I recall). There were three of these.Very friendly atmosphere, and not intimidating.I`ve not been to any other bass bashes so have little to compare it to.Hope this helps or is there anything specific you want to ask?

I'm going to this, and will have a Bassline Publishing stand where I'll be selling books at special show prices... :)

Might also be doing a masterclass, not sure yet, but if any of you are going, come and say hello!

This is what they said:

Bass players day is a brilliant afternoon. Dave Barnard gives bass lessons at the pub and at the end of every 10 week term we have an afternoon of entertainment. There is also a bring/buy/swop section, many interesting instruments on display, talks and music lessons.

Off topic really, but just a quick plug...

for those not going to the BassBash on 30th March, go see Richard Bona at the Jazz Cafe

but if you're in the Brighton area and don't want to go into London, come see me playing with Musa Mboob and band Xam Xam at the Joogleberry Playhouse (ignore my clumsy bass playing, watch the percussion - really stunning!)

  • 2 weeks later...

I was at the last one for a couple of hours - picked-up some good tips from some of the 'tutorial' sessions.
This one sounds like it'll be bigger and better - I dropped a bass in to GB Guitars for a setup and Bernie is going to be exhibiting

Unfortunately I'm booked to be elsewhere :) ...
