The maestro Chris Squire playing with a version of Yes tonight in Sheffield. Geoff Downes in it and no Jon Anderson so I'll expect some Drama material as on the last tour a couple of years back. Hope the old fella's up for it !

I saw the 'Union'/Yes Music Plus (can't remember the exact title) tour at Wembley in abut 1990/91. It was the tour when all the members briefly came together except for, I think, Peter Banks.

All those ego's on one stage! It was a revolving one, so you got to see everyone at some point. I remember they opened with an epic long version of 'Yours Is No Disgrace'....super stuff, and Squire was great throughout!

Hope that's got you more excited!

[sub]Pretty good show in the end, set was similar to 2 years ago so it was Tempus Fugit and Machine Messiah again from Drama. New material from latest album also decent plus classics such as Yours Is No Disgrace, And You and I, Starship Trooper. Also did Wonderous Stories which I don't recall from last time and inevtably Roundabout as the encore. Old Chris seemed to be enjoying himself, still pretty nifty on the bass, used about 5 different ones through the night.[/sub]

Geoff Downes? or Oliver Wakeman? I'm sure the ad on Planet Rock mentioned Oliver. Personally I thought it was Mr Downes.

Geoff Downes on keyboards, think he's on the album as well (Fly From Here). Did a decent job, had about 7 different keyboards set up round him plus one of those very 80's style mobile things for a little walkabout soloing toward the end.
