Chris2112 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Pandering to my usual GAS and the bottle of KEO Beer I have consumed, I quite fancy a Warwick Thumb NT. Ideally I'd be after a 4 string but I may consider something with more strings (but not less). Fretted or fretless is not a great concern, as long as it's a good Thumb with plenty of growl! Following my usual 'one in, one out and don't get rid of the ACG' rule, I can only offer my beautiful Zon Sonus bass for trade. It has Bartolini singlecoil pickups and a Zon Polyfusion preamp, a bubinga top and an ash body and a Zon carbon fibre neck. It is very light, it plays beautifully and it sounds great. It comes with a Zon hardcase, and I would be willing to post anywhere in the UK. I will insure the shipping as long as the other involved party does the same for their bass. I'm still stockpiling money for a winter car (if I need one) so purchasing a Thumb outright is not an option right now. Delbert Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Hi, would you want to sale it as well as trade for a Thumb. Thanks PD
loulou_2607 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hi, I have an old Thumb NT4 to sell on this forum. You can take a look at my announce and tell me your advice. Do you have any soundclip of your Zon ? Regards, Régis
Chris2112 Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011
A Zon for a Warwick ??????????
Possibly. I'm hopefully going to be looking at one which will hopefully be as good as the pictures suggest! I wouldn't trade it for anything less than a top notch Warwick though. And at this level of basses, they're generally all as good as each other, they just do things a little differently to one another. And when I consider what I paid for the Zon, and what a good Warwick costs it seems about right, even if another Zon would be much harder to find. Ultimately, I love new basses and new toys, and my #1 will always be my ACG - hence why other basses come up for trade and go through the revolving doors!
roonjuice Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hi! I've got an old custom nt thumb that I believe was built for a namm show, its gun metal grey, its got side fret lights and sounds very growlly and thumby!
loulou_2607 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011
Warwick Thumb 1989 ?
That's right.
Chris2112 Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 Thanks to everyone who has looked at this. I've tried to reply to everyone who has PM'ed me, so my apologies if I have missed anyone and not wrote back to you personally. I'm going to see a gentleman who really knows his Warwicks this lunchtime, so I will update the thread with the outcome of that trip.
Chris2112 Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 This has now been trded for a lovely limited edition Warwick Streamer. What a beauty it is, too! Thanks again for looking!
