This is one beautiful bass but times are hard, I could do with the money to learn to drive and this one rarely gets played...

This is the re-issue model (made in Japan) of the Plexi-glass original used by Bill Wyman, Geezer Butler etc. back in the late 60's/early 70's.

24 frets, low action, comes in a lush chequered tolex covered, purple velvet lined, lockable case.

Includes the additional pickup and truss-rod key

Its in excellent condition.

Looking for £550, offers considered.

Bump - just noticed theres a hairline crack in the surface of the pickguard, about 15mm long near the tone control.
Not noticed it before. Still a seriously gorgeous bass, and quite rare...

The guitarist in my band uses the guitar version for some songs. If only you were close enough so I could borrow it for just one rehearsal to see whether it looks/sounds naff to have matching guitar and bass!

Yeah I would - but its pretty heavy with the case, going to be about £25.

Someone asked about the weight of the bass a while back - I havent got any scales but its similar to my precision and thats about 8 pounds.
