Up for trade is my lovely 2010 Midnight Blue 4003. All original except the addition of a genuine Rickenbacker white nut. Superb condition with Ric hard case. Currently strung with XL Chromes. Nice action, plays beautifully. Original bridge pick-up cover included (can be refitted before shipping if required). Looking to trade for fiver of similar value particularly interested in a Stingray. Cheers Edited November 15, 2011 by bassman2790
martthebass
Don't do it Mark! Pick up a used Sterling Ball Ray5 (played one the other weekend, definitely within 95% of a 'real' Ray5) and keep hold of the Rick. You know you'll end up regretting it............don't forget your parting words on the Derby ring road!

Guest MoJo
Hi Mart Yes I do recall my words. Not considered a Sterling Ball. I know I'd miss the Ric. I've gigged it twice and it sounds great. I'll have to sleep on it Mark
martthebass
Good decision. The SBMM is a good option, the one I used for the night was a bit lighter than the 2 EBMM ones I've had (and felt better for it). To be honest I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference soundwise and the string spacing/playability was just the same. Also taking this route if you decide you need a higher level 5er for the future or that you dont need a 5 then you shouldnt lose much cash on the SBMM and you get to keep that particularly fine Ric.
