hey people can anyone help me with gauges?

hi everyone

i've only ever brought one bass to gigs but i'm now bringing two cos i'm sick off having to drop d and retune 2/3 times a set, just wondered if any drop d players here have an opinion on what gauge they prefer for the bottom string, i want it to sound punchy but deep. ernie ball and rotosounds are my prefered string but then again i don't think i've ever tried any others lol

any ideas?

I used to use a .110 when i was in mostly Drop D. Had a lot of punch and was deep enough for my tastes.

I use .105 as standard for drop D. How about using a Hipshot D-Tuner?

I use a 110 and a Hipshot
