SpitfireXXII Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Folks, This I posted in answer to a question in another forum, I thought it worth repeating as it never hurts to get something for free...... Here's a link to a site where there are some free software drum programs. (I personally prefer HotStepper and HammerHead)(H.S. has the edge) Great for jamming with as they are easy to program, or for quick ideas to your 4 track.... None of 'em will replace a good drum machine (Or drummer) but here you go..... http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/other_drumboxes.shtml check them out, let me know what you think...... (keep it low, keep it loud) Quote
Paul Cooke Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Surprisingly, Hammerhead works fine on Linux using WINE to provide the windows runtimes... Quote
ped Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Thanks mate - downloaded them all and will try them tonight! ped Quote
dr.funk Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I have been using hot stepper for a few years and it's pretty good. Paul Cooke - Hydrogen is meant to be the business on Linux, I have heard nothing but good things about it. Quote
