MarkusWarwick Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 No way!!!! £450??? If my warwick sells, id buy this, i love Gibsons!!!
warwickhunt Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Is this the one with the block inlays John?
johnbiffa Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 No, its the dot markers, which made it look more like my 2 original EB3's, never thought the blocks really looked right ! I'm gigging in Newcastle Saturday evening if you want to see/try it. Cheers John
johnbiffa Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Meant to add reason for sale is 2 orignal EB3's and an EB2 is probably overkill.............unless someone wants to get involved in a p/ex with a Thunderbird and cash their way...........food for thought Gibbo fans. John
evilLordJuju Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Is this the regular finish, or the faded one. And Is this with a Gibson case please?
johnbiffa Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Its the faded finish, could include a Gibson case instead of a Gig Bag for an extra £40 though John
Who's Who Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Other than the fretboard markers, are there any differences between the SG Reissue and the SG Standard Basses?
johnbiffa Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 None at all, and interestingly the current reissue bass doesn't have the blocks either although the maple cap one that I used to have did !. Personal opinion is they look more "authentic" with the dots ! Great basses and a genuinely different sound to most others basses out there and not just a "one trick pony" either but Gibbo's are a bit like Bovril really................I use mine every week and occasionally the EB2 but never tried a Thunderbird but had a couple of Ric's. My versatile needs are my 77 Jazz (weighs a ton) and my 51 Shuker which is awesome. Check out www.theproperboys.co.uk or YouTube to see one of my originals being used. John
