Azrabella Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 (edited) Is it just me or what? I have my bass(es) correctly intonated and for most stuff no issue, but just lately when playing with the tone rolled off, I notice that the intonation seems off, this seems more apparent when I'm wearing headphones. When treble is increased and when playing over the bridge, the intonation returns to normal. This issue is driving me nuts 'cause I don't know if it's for real or just my imagination. Perhaps it's to do with the wavelength of lower notes or something. Edited November 18, 2011 by Azrabella Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 You can tune stuff to the attack or the sustain, as the initial string movement bends it slightly sharp. With tone off, less harmonics and stuff might mean you are ptiching from a different part of the envelope, or losing the harmonics you were pitching from before. Quote
