amewse
Just wondered if anyone knows any background about these necks? Seem to be well priced if ok: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BASS-NECK-ROSEWOOD-JAZZ-PRECISION-STYLE-BASSES-/120813760576?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1c210fb040#ht_720wt_1165 I am considering a Jazz special and these have a nice vintage look, don't know if they are any good though. Comments please!
skej21
From a quick glance it looked ok to me, but there was something odd about it. Then it hit me, it doesn't have a pearl block inlay at fret one! Quite a glaring mistake once you notice it, as EVERY bass I've seen with block inlays has an inlay at fret one
amewse
I didn't notice until you pointed it out, bit of an oversight.
SidVicious1978
plus the allparts are cheaper

At Allparts current price of £380 for a rosewood neck with pearl block inlays, it definitely is NOT cheaper! http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/guitar-bass-parts/bodies-necks/necks/bass-necks/replacement-neck-for-j-bass-rosewood-board-w-finish-w-binding-block-inlays-p-1978.html
gary mac
I was considering getting one for a P bass project. I missed out on the last one he had. I've had some corespondance with the seller and he seems ok. I hadn't noticed the lack of first fret marker, but don't think it would put me off

[/quote] Allparts necks are the dog's spuds though, and are second only to Fender. In fact they can be superior in some cases, in my humble opinion. I ended up putting it on ebay and it went for next to nothing.
